Jaxon Stratton posted a career high in tackles and picked up an interception to lead Lawrence to a 28-0 shutout win at Grinnell. A sophomore safety from Blanchard, Okla., Stratton was also named the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Stratton recorded a career-high 13 tackles and his second career interception. Stratton had eight solo tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss. Stratton's interception came deep in Lawrence territory on Grinnell's final scoring chance to preserve the shutout, the first for the Vikings in a season opener since 1983.
