APPLETON, Wis. -- Both Lawrence University men's tennis and softball face critical Midwest Conference contests this week. Men's tennis has injected itself back into the race for a spot in the four-team conference tournament, and the Vikings travel to rival St. Norbert on Wednesday. The softball squad has four conference games this week, two with Ripon College and two more with Lake Forest College, as the Vikings attempt to get back into the fight for a league tournament berth.

Fast Fact: Lawrence is on a three-match win streak after beating Knox, Monmouth and Illinois College last weekend. Top singles player David Jumes went 3-0 on the week and teamed with Bill Schuman-Kline for a 3-0 record at No. 1 doubles. Rookie Cade Francour went 3-0 at No. 5 singles, and teamed with Aidan Delgado for a 3-0 record at No. 3 doubles.

Fast Fact: The Vikings opened the outdoor season last Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships and claimed a pair of individual titles. Sophomore Josh Janusiak raced to the victory in the 5,000 meters and freshman Noah Shea grabbed the title in the triple jump.

Series Record: This is the first meeting between the teams.
Fast Fact: The Vikings take a break from Midwest Conference play this week with their first-ever meeting with Illinois Tech, which becomes a member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for baseball in 2018. Lawrence senior Brandon Klar was injured in the doubleheader at Beloit College this past Saturday, but he did come back to pitch against the Bucs on Sunday.
