APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University cross country teams head to Jacksonville, Ill., on Saturday for the Midwest Conference Championships, and Vikings star Josh Janusiak is looking for his second consecutive individual league title.

MEN'S SOCCER (1-13-1, 0-7-1 MWC)

Opponent: Lawrence at Maranatha Baptist (8-8-0)

When and Where: Tuesday, Oct. 24, 3:30 p.m., Maranatha Soccer Field, Watertown, Wis.

Series Record: The series, which started in 1995, is all tied at 1-1-1. Lawrence won last year's meeting 8-0 on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.

Fast Fact: The Vikings went to backup goalkeeper AJ Bryant in this past Saturday's match at Monmouth because Julien Riviere was not available due to an academic commitment. Bryant made four saves, including several of the spectacular variety, against the Scots.

Fast Fact: Lawrence enters the Midwest Conference Championships with several of the league's top runners. On the men's side, junior Josh Janusiak is the defending league champion and is attempting to become Lawrence's first repeat champion since Eric Griffin took back-to-back titles in 1984 and 1985. Sophomore Joe Kortenhof also is among the league's top runners and is going for his second straight all-conference honor. On the women's side, Hannah Kinzer hasn't lost to a Midwest Conference runner this season but is facing the standouts from Cornell and Grinnell for the first time.
