APPLETON, Wis. -- Three Lawrence University spring sports teams are back home after competing in Florida for more than a week. Lawrence softball opens play at home on Wednesday when the Vikings host Alverno College, and baseball is at home for a four-game set with Northland College on Friday and Saturday.

SOFTBALL (4-8)

Series Record: Lawrence has a 5-1 advantage over Alverno is a series that started in 2010. The teams haven't met since splitting a doubleheader in 2012.

Fast Fact: Lawrence lead-off hitter Amanda Karnatz is on her way to having another great season. In 12 games in Florida, Karnatz hit a sizzling .487 with a pair of doubles, four runs batted in and 14 runs scored. Karnatz was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week after the Vikings' first four games of the campaign.

Fast Fact: Lawrence's Matthew Holliday is closing in on another school career record. Holliday, who broke the career hits records earlier this season, now has 94 career runs batted in. Holliday is just seven RBI away from breaking Andrew Wong's career record of 100. Shortstop Nolan Spencer tied the Lawrence record for stolen bases when he swiped five vs. Minnesota-Morris last week. That tied the mark set by Jerry Kaminiski vs. Lakeland back in 1969.

MEN'S TENNIS (5-6)

Series Record: Lawrence has a 12-1 advantage over Marian in a series that started during the 2001 season. The Vikings have shut out the Sabres in the last 11 matches.

Fast Fact: Lawrence's Aidan Delgado went 4-0 last week as he picked up wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles and Nos. 1 and 2 doubles with two different partners in a win over Elmhurst and a loss to Saint Mary's (Minn.).
