The Week Ahead: September 10-16

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence women's soccer continues its run of home matches as the Vikings complete a three-game homestand with nonconference contests against UW-Oshkosh and Augustana (Ill.) College. The Vikings host Oshkosh on Wednesday before taking on Augustana on Friday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.

Fast Fact: Lawrence rookie hitter Sophia Galassini was named to the all-tournament team at the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Tournament last weekend. Galassini piled up 23 blocks in the four matches and also collected 23 kills while putting together a .281 hitting percentage.

Fast Fact: Lawrence gets a look at the course on which the Midwest Conference Championships will be contested in October as Lake Forest is hosting the league meet. NCAA Division III Championships qualifier Josh Janusiak is going for his second straight victory to open the season after he won the Tom Barry Invitational at St. Norbert on Labor Day weekend.

Fast Fact: Lawrence rookie Morgan Fisher collected her first college victory with a win at No. 2 doubles against Ripon. Fisher teamed with El Goblirsch for a 9-7 triumph.

Fast Fact: Lawrence had two players, Will Nichols and Nicholas Jatta, named to the St. Norbert Invitational all-tournament teams. Nichols scored his first career goal and then collected his first career hat trick in the match against St. Scholastica. Nichols scored the first three Lawrence goals in the first 23 minutes against the Saints.
