APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team heads to Madison, Wis., this weekend for the Midwest Conference Championships. The singles and doubles championships will be contested on Saturday and Sunday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Fast Fact: Lawrence's Joe Kortenhof won his first collegiate race when he ran away from the field to take the title at the Gene Davis Invitational this past Saturday. Running in cold, windy and wet conditions, Kortenhof raced to victory in 25:51. This marks the fourth year a Lawrence runner as taken first at the Vikings' home meet.

Fast Fact: Lawrence held Beloit to just five first downs this past Saturday, and defensive end Jasaad Graves had a big game with nine tackles. He posted six tackles for loss, including two sacks, on his way to nine tackles, all solo. His other three tackles were all for no gain. His tackles amounted to a loss of 32 yards.
