We are excited to announce the 2018 Viking Athletics Golf Outing, hosted by our Lawrence University Department of Athletics, will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Chaska Golf Club, in Greenville, Wisconsin. This year, the outing will precede the inaugural Vikings Athletics Reception and Dinner, held back on campus in the beautiful Warch Campus Center’s Somerset Room overlooking the Fox River. The events come together to form the single biggest fundraising day for Viking Athletics! The support of the Lawrence community, alumni and friends of the university is critical to the success of our Athletics programs. The funds secured through the golf outing and reception and dinner are used to support the 21 intercollegiate NCAA programs sponsored by the university.


Golf Schedule

9:00-10:00 a.m.
Golf registration, complimentary driving range open

10:00 a.m.
Shotgun start, four-person scramble

3:00 p.m.
Stick around for after-golf cocktails in the clubhouse
Shuttle service back to campus/downtown Appleton begins

Gather with fellow alumni, friends, and supporters of Lawrence Athletics after the Viking Athletics Golf Outing as we celebrate the vibrant tradition and affinity of Athletics at Lawrence over the years. As we embark upon a new era of investment in Athletics as a strategic priority for our university, we invite you to learn more about the exciting vision for the Vikings directly from Director of Athletics Christyn Abaray, her coaching staff, and a selection of student-athlete leaders. We cannot wait to celebrate the ways in which Athletics has positively impacted the Lawrence community throughout its history and harness that tradition, passion, and purpose with the hopes of elevating our Athletics programs and the overall department to new heights. 

And finally, join us in listening to a stimulating keynote address from Appleton native, Ann McKee, M.D., who serves as Director of the Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center at Boston University and Chief Neuropathologist for the brain banks at VA Boston. Ann’s cutting-edge work continues to pave the way for new discoveries in the medical research world of concussions, CTE, brain trauma, and their consequences. Most pertinent that evening, however, is that Ann is sister to 50th milestone Reunion celebrants, Bob '68 and Chuck '68 McKee!
