MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Monmouth College baseball team hit a pair of three-run homers Sunday en route to a 14-3 Midwest Conference win over Lawrence University at Glasgow Field.

The game was part of the Midwest Conference Crossover Tournament.

Christian Lett hit a three-run homer as part of a five-run third inning as Monmouth (18-10-1, 7-5 MWC) build a 9-0 lead after three innings. Grant Myers hit a three-run homer in the fifth to put the Scots up 14-0.

Connor McDonald tossed six shutout innings, allowed six hits, struck out six and walked one to get the win. Daniel Bonsanti allowed nine runs on eight hits over three innings and took the loss.

Lawrence (10-13, 3-3) scored all three of its runs in the seventh. Ethan Jones went 3-for-3 for the Vikings, Matthew Holliday went 2-for-3 and Patrick McDonnell had a double and drove in two runs.
