APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University baseball team battled to a Midwest Conference doubleheader split with Beloit College on Saturday at Whiting Field.

Patrick McDonnell went 2-for-4 with a homer in the nightcap, and Ethan Jones belted a two-run homer. Spenser Ross also went 2-for-4 for the Vikings. Clayton Agler allowed no earned runs over the final three innings to pick up his first collegiate victory. He struck out three and didn't walk a batter.

Lawrence's Reno Zemrak started the bottom of the 10th with a single and went to second on a balk. Ross then picked up an infield single to put runners at the corners with one out. Rudy Mueller-Schrader then executed a suicide squeeze bunt, and Zemrak raced home with the game-winning run.
