BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University baseball team dropped a Midwest Conference doubleheader to Beloit College on Friday at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium.
Beloit won the first game, which was picked up in the seventh inning after being suspended on Thursday, 7-2, and the Bucs took the nightcap 5-1.
In the first game, Lawrence (4-20, 1-11 MWC) was limited to just two hits against three Beloit pitchers. AJ Parnell tossed four innings of scoreless relief to get the win. Tony Caputa took the loss in relief for the Vikings.

Beloit (15-15, 6-6), which had only six hits, scored all seven of its runs in the fourth.
In the second game, Spenser Ross, Colin Wieska and Jacob Rosenberg all collected two hits for the Vikings, who left 13 runners on base. Lawrence got its only run in the ninth when McDonnell singled to score Ross, who had reached on a single.
Beloit led 3-0 before it stretched the lead to five with a pair of runs in the eighth.
Jacob Sligar went 6.1 innings to get the win, and Brad Olson took the loss for Lawrence.
