DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University football team ran up against a tough St. Norbert College defense Saturday, and the Green Knights posted a 38-6 Midwest Conference North Division victory at Schneider Stadium.

Lawrence cracked the St. Norbert end zone in a tight first half before the Green Knights pulled away after the break.

Lawrence quarterback D'Andre Weaver completed 10-of-21 passes for 131 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Running back Wasonu Allen led Lawrence with a modest 14 carries for 27 yards as the Vikings were held to 144 yards of offense.

St. Norbert quarterback Jack Becker ran 16 times for 162 yards and completed 7-fo-15 passes for 122 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Rookie linebacker Ethan Spight led the Vikings with a career-high seven tackles. Lawrence sophomore safety Tyler Kujawa recorded his first career interception, and senior safety Carl Olsen got his first interception of the season.

St. Norbert struck first with a 44-yard touchdown pass, but the Vikings answered a few minutes later after Becker's fumble was recovered by Jasaad Graves at the St. Norbert 39-yard line.

Two plays later, Weaver hit Trevor Spina with a 39-yard touchdown pass to trim the lead to 7-6 with 10:26 left in the opening quarter.

Becker connected with Samuel Staehling for a six-yard touchdown pass to put cap a 12-play drive and grab a 14-6 lead with 5:19 left in the first quarter.

Lawrence drove into St. Norbert territory on its next possession, but an interception stopped the drive, and the Green Knights drove 52 yards for a touchdown and a 21-6 lead at the half.

Becker then tossed a 52-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, and got a field goal and a Jadon Sackman touchdown run in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
