Vikings can't dig out of early hole at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball fell behind early Wednesday and never recovered in a 108-76 Midwest Conference loss to Lake Forest College at the Sports and Recreation Center.

Lake Forest scored the game's first 13 points and led by as many as 33 points in the opening half. Lawrence was unable to make a run at the Foresters in the second half.

Bryce Denham paced Lawrence (9-13, 5-10 MWC) with 22 points and added four rebounds, a block and a steal. Lawrence's Brad Sendell added 16 points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Troy Mikaelian picked up eight points on 3-of-4 shooting from the floor and grabbed five rebounds in 16 minutes of action for the Vikings. 

Sean Espinosa had a career night for Lake Forest (11-10, 8-6) as he scored 34 points on 13-of-18 shooting, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Sam Husting added 27 points as he went 10-for-16 from the floor.
