GENEVA, Ill. -- Lawrence University scored three goals in less three minutes in the second period Friday en route to a 3-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory over Aurora University at Fox Valley Ice Arena.

Nick Felan had a goal and an assist for the Vikings, and Zach Satalino scored his first collegiate goal for Lawrence (2-1-0, 2-1-0 NCHA). 

Evan Cline made 21 saves to pick up his second career shutout and first of the season for Lawrence.

The Vikings broke a scoreless tie early in the second period with a power-play goal from Nick Felan at the 5:33 mark. Lane King and Josh Koepplinger picked up assists on the goal.

Lawrence went right back on the power play after Aurora was called for a pair of penalties at the 6:31 mark, and the Vikings scored just 23 seconds later. Satalino scored his first goal with assists from Felan and Austin Frank to give Lawrence a 2-0 edge.

The Vikings were still on the man-advantage when Jake Drinkard scored his first goal of the season off assists from Mikkel Joehnk and Daniel Gysi at the 8:15 mark for a 3-0 lead.

Lawrence went 3-for-7 on the power play, and Aurora (0-3-2, 0-2-1) was 0-for-5.

Jake Gwillim allowed all three goals before giving way to Josh Boyko. Gwillim made 11 saves, and Boyko finished with 16.

Lawrence stays in Illinois and plays at Lake Forest College on Saturday night.
