EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- The 12th-ranked UW-Eau Claire hockey team scored the game's final two goals Saturday to pull away for a 4-1 nonconference victory over Lawrence University at Hobbs Ice Center.

Clinging to a one-goal lead, the Blugolds scored two goals in a stretch of 2:08 late in the second period to pull away.

Eau Claire's Mac Jansen had scored two first-period goals to stake the Blugolds to a 2-0 advantage before the Vikings sliced the lead in half in the second. Lawrence's Zach Satalino scored on the power play off assists by Lane King and Nick Felan at the 5:52 mark of the second to cut the lead to 2-1.

Jansen scored again at the 14:08 mark of the second for the hat trick and a 3-1 Blugolds lead. Jansen then added a fourth goal on the power play at 16:08 to complete the scoring.

Camden Haugenoe stopped 15 shots to pick up the win for Eau Claire (5-3-0). Evan Cline made 39 saves but took the loss for the Vikings (2-4-0).
