MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Josh Koepplinger scored a pair of goals and Evan Cline was superb in net Friday night as Lawrence University topped No. 13 MSOE 3-1 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Kern Center.

Koepplinger scored the game-winner and then deposited an empty-net goal to seal the victory for the Vikings (6-7-1, 4-3-0 NCHA). Cline stopped 39 shots and kept MSOE (8-5-1, 4-3-0) off the board with an extra attacker on the ice in the game's final minute.

After a scoreless first period, Lawrence jumped on top when Lane King scored off a feed from Koepplinger 4:14 into the second period.

King returned the favor later in the period when he fed Koepplinger for a goal with 4:47 left in the second to put the Vikings up 2-0.

MSOE cut the lead in half when Jared Tafoya scored for the Raiders at the 5:53 mark of the third period.

The scored stayed that way, and MSOE pulled goaltender Zach Woodman with 52 seconds left in the third. Lawrence's Nick Felan then fed Koepplinger for an empty-net goal with three seconds remaining to seal the victory.

Woodman stopped 25 shots for MSOE and took the loss.
