Vikings shut out by second-ranked Adrian

Lawrence lost the season opener 7-0 at No. 2 Adrian.

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Lawrence University dropped a 7-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game to No. 2-ranked Adrian College on Friday at Arrington Ice Arena.

It was the season opener for the Vikings, who gave up a goal just three minutes into the game. 

Adrian scored three times in both the first and second periods, and Bryan Yim finished with a hat trick for the Bulldogs.

Evan Cline played the first 27-plus minutes in goal and made 22 saves for the Vikings. Greg Procopio finished the game and stopped 20 shots. Kevin Entmaa made 21 saves to collect the shutout for Adrian.

Lawrence wraps up the opening weekend of play with a NCHA game at Trine University on Saturday.
