APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University dominated the game for long stretches Friday night, but Finlandia University posted a 4-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association shutout at the Appleton Ice Center.

The Vikings owned a 34-22 edge in shots, and Finlandia scored once on just seven shots in the first period and added two goals on just five shots in the third period.

Marcus Gloss made 34 saves to post the shutout for Finlandia (5-10-1, 3-5-1 NCHA). Evan Cline made 18 saves for the Vikings (4-11-1, 2-6-1).

Cory Richardson gave the Lions the lead just 4:03 into the game when he scored from just inside the blue line. Finlandia made it 2-0 on Tyler Watungwa's goal midway through the second period.

Finlandia sealed the victory with goals from Teddy Randell and Hunter Kero in the third period.

Lawrence couldn't cash in on some chances and went 0-for-8 on the power play. The Lions finished 1-for-3 on the man-advantage.
