APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit Sunday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl, but Albion College scored late to take a 3-2 non-conference win over the Vikings.

Lawrence's Joey Zimmer scored his first career goal and picked up an assist for the Vikings (1-3-0). Lewis Berger also scored for the Vikings.

Albion (3-0-1) scored a pair of first-half goals to take control. Kay Whitemore scored in the 12th minute, and Christian Hurtado's sliding kick for a goal in the 26th minute put Albion up 2-0.

Zimmer countered for Lawrence at the 39:18 mark when he took a cross from Abdikani Bashir and beat Albion goalkeeper Maximilian Loria to trim the lead to 2-1.

Berger then tied it less than eight minutes into the second half. Berger, working off passes from Nicholas Jatta and Zimmer, scored at the 52:40 mark to tie it at 2-2.

Albion grabbed the lead back for good when Kyle Bourlier scored on a free kick about five yards outside the box at the 65:39 mark.

Lawrence goalkeeper Julien Riviere was outstanding in net and finished with 12 saves. Loria stopped five shots for the Britons.
