OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University swimming and divings teams swept a dual meet from UW-Oshkosh on Saturday at the Albee Hall Pool.
The Lawrence women won 12 events and rolled to a 165-62 victory over the Titans, and the Lawrence men edged Oshkosh 98-96.
Three Lawrence women won two events apiece. Erin Lengel took first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.25 and took the top spot in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.61. Lizzy Garcia grabbed the top spot in the 50 freestyle in 26.43 seconds and took first in the 100 freestyle in 57.66 seconds.
Maddy Smith swept the diving for the Vikings in her hometown. She was first on the 1-meter board with a score of 224.60, and took first on the 3-meter board with a score of 226.30.
Elise Riggle swam to first in the 1,000 freestyle in 11:54.00, and Mae Grahs swam to first in the 500 freestyle in 5:40.02.
Mizuki Ohama was first in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.94, and Emmi Zheng grabbed first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.30
Lawrence also swept the relays as the women's 200 medley relay took first in 1:55.04 and the 200 freestyle relay won in 1:46.26.
Max Stahl led the way for the Lawrence men as he won a pair of events. Stahl won the 200 individual medley in 2:14.90 and took first in the 100 backstroke in 58.96 seconds. Stahl also teamed with Tom Goldberg, Liam Wulfman and Anton Hutchinson to win the 200 medley relay in 1:42.54.
Hutchinson also won the 200 freestyle in 1:51.98, Wulfman won the 100 butterfly in 56.80 seconds and Goldberg grabbed first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.39.
