NEW BERLIN, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team swept the doubles competition en route to an 8-1 nonconference victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College Saturday at the Princeton Club.

The Vikings were paced by sophomore Connor Maloney, who didn't drop a game while playing No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Maloney downed Ben Wordell 6-0, 6-0 in singles and teamed with Cade Francour for an 8-0 victory over Wordell and Jeremy Ryno in doubles.

Aidan Delgado and Jason Park were 8-3 winners at No. 2 doubles, and Evan Oriel and Andrea Arivella won 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

In addition to Maloney, Franour (No. 2), Oriel (No. 3), Izaya Turenne (No. 5) and Yang Zhao (No. 6) were all straight-sets winners in singles.

Lawrence improved to 4-2 on the season, and Wisconsin Lutheran fell to 0-6.
