Vikings fall to Susquehanna

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team started its spring break trip to Florida with a 7-2 loss to Susquehanna University.

Connor Maloney had a hand in both Lawrence victories as he won at No. 1 singles and teamed with Cade Francour for a victory at No. 1 doubles.

Maloney and Francour posted an 8-4 win in the top doubles flight, but the Vikings trailed 2-1 heading to the singles play. Maloney then posted a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 victory over Alex Dove at No. 1 as he took the super-tiebreaker 10-6.

Francour's match at No. 2 also went to a super-tiebreaker as he dropped a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (14-12) decision to Beau Ornstein.

Lawrence dropped to 5-5 on the season.
