Lawrence's Cam Strawn was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 6 singles against Monmouth.

DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team won a pair of tight matches Saturday to complete a 9-0 Midwest Conference shutout of Monmouth College at the Green Bay Tennis Center.

Lawrence (6-6, 1-0 MWC) rolled through the three doubles matches with the No. 3 team of Aidan Delgado and Andrea Arivella leading the way with an 8-0 victory. Connor Maloney and Cade Francour won 8-2 at No. 1 and Evan Oriel and Matt Chan were 8-3 winners at No. 2.

In the singles matches, Lawrence's Cam Strawn was an impressive 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 6, and Oriel picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4. Delgado at No. 2 and Chan at No. 5 also cruised to straight-sets victories.

Maloney battled to a 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 win at No. 1 as he took the super-tiebreaker 10-8. Francour dropped the first set 3-6 at No. 3 but then rallied for a 7-6, 1-0 victory. He took the super-tiebreaker 10-6.
