Lawrence shuts out Prairie Fire

Andrea Arivella was a winner at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles for the Vikings against Knox.

GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team romped to a 9-0 Midwest Conference win at Knox College on Saturday.

Lawrence didn't drop a set en route to the win, and the Vikings were impressive throughout the lineup. Connor Maloney and Cade Francour got things started with an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles.

In singles play, Lawrence swept the six matches with Matt Chan leading the way with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4. Francour at No. 2, Evan Oriel at No. 3 and Andrea Arivella at No. 6 all posted 6-1, 6-0 victories for the Vikings.

Maloney also won at No. 1 and Cam Strawn was a winner at No. 5.
