Janusiak shatters school record in 5,000

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- Lawrence University track and field standout Josh Janusiak shattered his own school record in the 5,000 meters at the UW-Platteville Invitational.

Janusiak crossed the line in 14:42.86 to break the mark of 15:05.60 that he set in 2017. Janusiak's time is the 23rd-fastest in all of NCAA Division III this season.

Teammate Joe Kortenhof took part in the event as well and finished 58th in 15:33.45. On the women's side, Hannah Kinzer was 64th in the 5,000 in 19:18.90.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday when they travel to the St. Norbert Invitational.
