HILLSDALE, Mich. -- Lawrence University track star Josh Janusiak smashed his own school record in the 10,000 meters Friday and ran one of the nation's top times at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays.
Janusiak finished second in the event with a time of 30:17.00 to shatter his record of 30:58.96, which he set at the same meet in 2017. Janusiak was just eight seconds behind Michigan State's Joe Riordan, who won the event in 30:09.14.
Janusiak's time places him 11th in all of NCAA Division III.
Janusiak also ranks eighth in the nation in the 5,000 meters and broke his own school record in that event last week.
The Lawrence track team returns to action on Saturday when the Vikings travel to the St. Norbert College Quadrangular.
