APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University star Josh Janusiak was chosen for the College Sports Information Directors of America Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 cross country and track team.

Janusiak (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee), a junior, was among 10 student-athletes selected from the region, which consists of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan. A philosophy and Spanish major, Janusiak has a 3.94 grade point average.

Janusiak capped a fabulous year by winning All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Championships in May. Janusiak finished seventh in the 10,000 meters in 31:02.02 in his first trip to the national outdoor track championships.

Janusiak earned his spot in the national championships with a school-record time of 30:17.00 at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays in April. Janusiak also ran a school-record time of 14:34.55 in the 5,000 meters at the Brian Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University.

Janusiak won a pair of Midwest Conference track championships this year as he took the title in the 5,000 indoors and the 10,000 outdoors.

During the cross country season, Janusiak raced to his second consecutive Midwest Conference title to become just the third runner in Lawrence history to win a pair of crowns. 

Janusiak ran the fastest cross country time in conference history as he covered the 8,000 meters at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional in a time of 23:55.7. Janusiak qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time and finished 48th.
