HILLSDALE, Mich. -- Lawrence University track and field standouts Josh Janusiak and Joe Kortenhof raced to the top times in the Midwest Conference in the 10,000 meters at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Friday night.
Racing against a field of runners from both NCAA Divisions I and II, Janusiak finished second in the 10,000 in 30:28.80. That is the fastest time in the Midwest Conference and ranks 13th in all of NCAA Division III.
Kortenhof took eighth in the event with a time of 31:01.43, which ranks second in the conference and 35th in NCAA Division III.
The Lawrence duo easily have the top time in the league as the third-fastest mark lags some 34 seconds behind Kortenhof.
Molly Doruska also posted an outstanding time in the women's 10,000. Doruska finished 11th in the event with a time of 39:49.00, and that ranks fourth in the Midwest Conference.
