RIPON, Wis. -- Lawrence University's relays teams posted the top finishes Saturday for the Vikings at the Red Hawk Invitational at the Willmore Center.
On the men's side, the 4x200-meter relay team of Willie Sturgis, Zach Allen, Will Nichols and Cameron Wicks raced to second place with a time of 1:37.90. The 4x400 relay team of Nichols, Ethan Simmons, Mik Patel and Tyler Antoine grabbed fifth place with a time of 3:38.73.
Led by the relays, the Lawrence men finished seventh with 25 points.
The top finish for the women came from the 4x400 team of Emily Hoeft, Fiona Shine, Eden Sorensen and Mikaela Hintz, which raced to third in 4:14.89. The 4x200 team of Shine, Hoeft, Hintz and Nora Robinson took fifth in 1:53.42.
The Lawrence women took eighth in the team standings with 21 points.
Among the individual finishers, Billy Daniels led the Lawrence contingent as the Vikings took three of the top seven places in the 5,000. Daniels took third in 16:15.97, and teammate Aaron Arthur was fourth in 16:19.15. Itai Bojdak-Yates was seventh for the Vikings in 16:43.46.
Sorensen was the top finisher for the women as she took sixth in the 60 hurdles in 10.08 seconds. Hoeft leaped to seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 33 feet, 6.75 inches, and Natalie LaMonto grabbed eighth for the Vikings in the mile with a time of 5:53.58.
