GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Lawrence University's Josh Janusiak raced to the individual title Saturday to lead the Vikings at the Tom Barry Invitational.
Janusiak took the title by covering the four-mile course at Colburn Park in 20:33.7, which was 11 seconds better than Lake Forest College's Jorge Villanueva, who finished second.
Lawrence finished third in the team standings with 79 points, and St. Norbert College was first with 51.
Joe Kortenhof grabbed fifth place for the Vikings in 21:33.6, and Billy Daniels took 14th in 22:05.9. Rounding out the scoring for the Vikings were Julian Garcia, who was 28th in 23:14.6, and Cullen Allard, who was 31st in 23:45.5.
The Lawrence women finished seventh in the team standings with 201 points. St. Norbert won the title with 28.
Molly Doruska was the top finisher for the Vikings in 20th place. She covered the 5,000-meter course in 21:15.8. Rookie Leah Hawksford was next for the Vikings in 30th place in 22:27.0.
Rounding out the scoring for the Vikings were Natalie Lamonto (45th, 24:08.0), Claire Schrier (49th, 24:39.6) and Gillian Buckardt (57th, 26:13.3).
