Emilia Jackson tossed six innings and picked up a no-decision for the Vikings.

CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Lawrence University softball team lost a 4-3 heartbreaker to Loras College on Saturday at the National Training Center.

Lawrence led 3-0 heading to the bottom of the sixth, but Loras tied it with three in the sixth and won it with a run in the last of the seventh.

Sofie Pedersen went 2-for-3 and scored a run for the Vikings (0-3). Emilia Jackson allowed seven hits over six innings. She struck out two and walked one and got a no-decision.

Lawrence broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the top of the sixth. Amanda Karnatz singled and later scored on Ceara Larson's single to put the Vikings up 1-0. The Vikings kept the rally going and had Pedersen at third and pinch-runner Leigh Birt at second when both scored on an error for a 3-0 edge.

Loras (4-5) tied the game in the bottom half of the inning on a pair of solo homers, an error and a run-scoring double. Lawrence had Liz Jonjak at third with one out in the top of the seventh but a popup and a foulout end the threat.

A bunt single and an error started the bottom of the seventh for Loras, and Noely Baumann's run-scoring single drove in the winning run for the Duhawks.

Kyleigh Becker pitched the final two innings to get the win, and Madeline MacLean pitched the seventh and took the loss.
