ROCHESTER, Minn. -- The Lawrence University softball team lost 11-1 to Luther College on Sunday in a nonconference game at the Rochester Dome.

Lawrence (1-3) was still within striking distance of the unbeaten Norse (7-0) until a seven-run outburst by Luther in the top of the seventh.

Lawrence's Ceara Larson went 2-for-3 with a double, and Mikayla Jeneske also went 2-for-3 and drove in a run for the Vikings.

The Vikings trailed 2-0 before cutting that lead in half in the bottom half of the inning. Liz Jonjak walked and later scored on Jeneske's single to make the score 2-1. The Norse added runs in the third and sixth for a 4-1 lead.

Luther collected six hits en route to scoring seven times in the seventh.

Lawrence starter Lexi Angemi held the Norse in check for six innings, and she struck out five and walked one in 6.1 innings. Kendra Cooper allowed six hits and one run over six innings to get the win.
