GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team dropped a 58-41 Midwest Conference decision at Knox College on Wednesday night.

Lawrence trailed by nine before Knox increased the lead to double digits late in third quarter and pulled away for the victory.

Kenya Earl paced Lawrence (3-4, 1-2 MWC) with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Liz Jonjak added seven points, and Erin Hill handed out seven assists for the Vikings.

Morgan Potter paced Knox (5-3, 2-1) with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Karlie Thorn added 13 points. Jarrelyn McCall added nine points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds for the Prairie Fire.

Knox eased out to a 22-12 lead after one quarter, and Lawrence trailed by as many as 13 points in the second quarter. The Vikings scored the final five points of the first half to trim the margin to 32-24 at the break.

Knox led 40-31 late in the third quarter before the Prairie Fire pushed the advantage to 46-33 after three. Lawrence never made a run at the Prairie Fire in the fourth quarter and Knox slowly pulled away for the final margin.
