Vikings fall to Illinois College in season finale

APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team dropped Saturday's season finale to Illinois College 61-40 in a Midwest Conference game at Alexander Gymnasium.

Lawrence shot just 24.2 percent for the game and turned the ball over 23 times. The Vikings were limited to single digits in both the first and third quarters.

Kenya Earl paced Lawrence with 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Erin Hill added seven points, four rebounds and three assists for the Vikings (6-19, 3-15 MWC). 

Junie Zirkelbach and Carly Cameron scored 14 points apiece for Illinois College (13-12, 9-9).

Illinois College jumped out to a 19-7 lead after one quarter and pushed that advantage to 37-17 at the half. The Lady Blues would lead by as many as 29 points in the second half.
