APPLETON, Wis. -- The Gustavus Adolphus College women's soccer team scored a pair of early goals Friday night and went on to a 6-0 non-conference win over Lawrence University on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
The Gusties (2-1-0) got on the board on Lauren Johnson's goal at the 11:14 mark and made it 2-0 just 2:03 later with a tally from Hannah Sturtz.
Gustavus added four more goals in the second half for the final margin as six different players scored. Emily Skogseth had a goal and an assist, and Sophie Leininger picked up two assists.
Despite allowing six goals, Lawrence goalkeeper Katlyn Seiffert was solid in net and made a season-high 14 saves. Two Gustavus goalkeepers combined to make one save for the shutout.
Gustavus had a 34-2 edge in shots.
