APPLETON, Wis. -- The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team took command early Wednesday and went on to a 6-0 non-conference win over Lawrence University on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
Six different players scored for the Pointers (4-2-0) with Kassidy Spees picking up a goal and an assist. Nora Hargett had three assists for the Pointers.
Stevens Point scored just 1:41 into the match and made it 2-0 n Spees' goal just over five minutes into the first half.
The Pointers led 2-0 at the break, but Maddy Hardyman scored 2:37 into the second half to make it 3-0. Stevens Point added goals in the 61st and 68th minute and then tacked on the final goal with 11 seconds left after hurrying to take a corner kick.
Sarah Peplinski didn't have to make a save in her 74 minutes of action and picked up the win in net. Katlyn Seiffert stopped 12 shots for the Vikings (1-4-0).
