Red Hawks jump on Lawrence early and pull away

Lawrence dropped a 6-0 Midwest Conference decision to visiting Ripon.

APPLETON, Wis. -- The Ripon College women's soccer team jumped out to an early lead Wednesday and went on to a 6-0 Midwest Conference victory over Lawrence University on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.

Ripon scored three times in the first eight minutes as Paige Pierce collected the first two goals off assists from Maggie Bouque. Ripon stretched the lead to 4-0 at the half with tallies from Maeve Kim and Brianna Schnell.

Camrie Schmitz and Abby Ryan both picked up goals for the Red Hawks in the second half to complete the scoring.

Miye Aoki-Kramer and Stefani Zeiger combined on the shutout for Ripon. Claire Vinopal made 11 saves and Katlyn Seiffert stopped three shots for the Vikings.
