LOVES PARK, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a tight 2-1 nonconference decision to Rockford University on Sunday at Wedgbury Stadium.

Lawrence had scored in the 84th minute to tie the game, but Rockford got a goal less than two minutes later to win it.

Rockford scored at the 32:01 mark and held that lead until Lawrence's Kelli Quick scored off an assist from Wakana Komura to tie the game at 1-1 at the 83:42 mark.

Marion Adelson then scored at 85:17 on a shot from 20 yards out to win it for the Regents.

Lawrence goalkeeper Katlyn Seiffert made two saves for the Vikings, and Samantha Bergeron stopped nine shots for Rockford. Lawrence finished with a 16-5 edge in shots.
