Blake scores twice as Vikings blank Alverno

Quinn Bingham had a pair of assists in Lawrence's win over Alverno.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's soccer player Jackie Blake scored a pair of goals Saturday to lead the Vikings to a 5-0 nonconference victory at Alverno College.

Quinn Bingham picked up a pair of assists, and Sarah Yochem and Sydney Dumke combined to make three saves for the shutout.

Natalya Harp scored at the 14:59 mark to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead, and Blake scored off an assist from Bingham just 2:16 later for a 2-0 edge. Blake took a pass from Bingham and scored at the 36:01 mark to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead at the half.

Samantha Tolu made it 4-0 when she scored off an assist by Lauren Turner at the 64:46 mark. Barbara Espinosa closed out the scoring with her goal off a pass from Charlotte Linebarger at 71:14.

Lawrence piled up a 42-5 advantage in shots. Dumke made two saves, and Yochem had one. Kenzie Bermudez stopped 20 shots for the Inferno.
