APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 Midwest Conference decision to Grinnell College on Sunday at Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
The Pioneers got one goal in each half and limited Lawrence to just three shots.
Grinnell struck in the 16th minute as Julia Sheehan-Klenk beat Lawrence goalkeeper Sarah Yochem on the short side for a 1-0 lead. Yochem later made a stellar save on a penalty kick as Grinnell clung to a 1-0 lead at the half.
The Pioneers' Alyssa Radakovich pushed the lead to 2-0 with her tally in the 63rd minute. Yochem made several more outstanding saves in the second half to keep it close.
Elizabeth Hunt made three saves to get the shutout for Grinnell. Yochem stopped 10 shots for the Vikings.
Lawrence is now 6-4-0 on the season, including a 1-1-0 mark in the league.
