Lawrence swimmers split with St. Norbert

APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University swimming and diving teams split a dual meet with St. Norbert College on Friday night at Boldt Natatorium.

The Lawrence women topped St. Norbert 117-108, and the men fell to the Green Knights 148-51.

Three Lawrence women collected a pair of wins apiece. 

Elise Riggle took the top spot in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:48.27 and won the 500 freestyle in 5:45.46. Erin Lengel won the 200 freestyle in 2:01.53 and was first in the 100 backstroke in 1:02.93. Diver Maddy Smith won both events as she took the 1-meter competition with a score of 226.90 and was tops on the 3-meter board with a score of 227.05.

Bridget Duero won the 100 freestyle for the Vikings in 58.23 seconds, and Mandy Marsh was first in the 50 freestyle in 26.90 seconds.

On the men's side, Liam Wulfman was a winner as he took the 100 backstroke in 59.32 seconds.
