LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Lawrence University swimming standouts Erin Lengel and Anton Hutchinson both posted event victories on Saturday at the Lake Forest College double dual.
Lengel won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:16.85 to lead the Lawrence women. Lengel won the even by almost two seconds over UW-Whitewater's Shayna Putney. Lengel also posted a third place in the 100 butterfly in 1:11.11.
Hutchinson grabbed first in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:20.16, and he also won by nearly two seconds over Lake Forest's Max Rowland. Hutchinson also swam to third in the 800 freestyle in 9:06.23.
Maddy Smith posted a pair of second-place finishes in diving. Smith was second on the 3-meter board with a score of 228.20, and she was second on the 1-meter board with a score of 228.55.
The men's 200 medley relay team of Liam Wulfman, Tom Goldberg, Charlie Phillips and Davis Wukovits was second in 1:53.80. Wulfman posted a third place in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.84, and Wukovits was third in the 100 freestyle in 58.25 seconds. Goldberg was third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.13.
Mandy Marsh picked up two third-place finishes as she was third in the 50 freestyle in 29.45 seconds and in the 100 freestyle in 1:04.37.
The Lawrence women lost to Lake Forest 139-98 and fell 159-62 to Whitewater. The Lawrence men lost to Whitewater 106-80 and 158-61 to Lake Forest.
