Beloit pulls out 5-4 win over Lawrence

Morgan Fisher won at No. 5 singles and teamed with El Goblirsch for a victory at No. 3 doubles against Beloit.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Beloit College women's tennis team won three three-set singles matches Saturday to rally for a 5-4 Midwest Conference win over Lawrence University at the Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Bucs won three-set matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles to pull out the victory.

Lawrence had taken a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition as Annie Harincar and Katie Nottberg won at No. 1 and El Goblirsch and Morgan Fisher collected a win at No. 3.

Goblirsch then posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles, and Fisher was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at No. 5.
