STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- Two Lawrence University track and field standouts grabbed second-place finishes Saturday at the Pointer Alumni Open at UW-Stevens Point.

Will Nichols placed in two events, including a runner-up finish in the 200 meters, and Josh Janusiak grabbed second in the 3,000 meters.

Nichols finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.56 seconds, and UW-Stevens Point's Calden Wojt was the winner in 22.62. Nichols also took fourth in the 60 meters in 7.33 seconds.

Janusiak was the top collegiate finisher in the 3,000 meters with his time of 8:54.13. He was edged by Stevens Point alumni runner Calvin Van Ryzin, who won in 8:48.68. Right on their heels was Lawrence sophomore Joe Kortenhof, who took third in 8:58.19.

The Vikings also had two top-five finishers in the 800 meters as Mik Patel grabbed fourth in 2:02.17 and Cullen Allard was fifth in 2:06.27. Jackson Boeh also grabbed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 10 feet, 11.75 inches.

On the women's side, Lawrence put two runners in the top six in the 60 meters. Rookie Nora Robinson took fifth in the 60 in 8.50 seconds, and teammate Fanita Robins was right behind her in sixth in 8.57 seconds.

Alex Chand raced to fifth in the 800 in 2:36.00, and Erin Schrobilgen took fifth in the mile in 5:51.95.
