APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field program will host a pair of camps in June.
The Fundamentals Camp is for athletes in grades 4 through 9 and is set for June 12 and 19 at Whiting Field. The camp is for athletes in their first or second year participating in track and field. College coaches will teach the basics of sprints, distance running, throws, hurdles, jumps and pole vault. The cost of the camp is $60.
The Advanced Skills Camp is for athletes in grades 9 through 12 and is June 13 and 20 at Whiting Field. This camp is geared toward athletes with more track and field experience, and the cost is $70. College coaches will analyze your form in sprints, distance running, throws, hurdles, jumps and pole vault. Personal instruction, film analysis, drills and technique are part of this camp
