DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field teams picked up more than a dozen top-five finishes Thursday at the St. Norbert College Twilight at Schneider Stadium.
On the women's side, the relays led the way as the 4x400 relay placed second in 4:23.45 and the 4x100 relay took third in 52.68 seconds.
Christina Sedall was tops among the individual finishers as she grabbed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:29.80. Emilly Hoeft leaped to fourth place in teh triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 9 inches, and Hallie Sogin was fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:15.82.
Molly Doruska collected a fifth place in the 1,500 in 5:26.61, and the Vikings placed three runners in the top eight in the 100. Nora Robinson was fifth in 13.56 seconds, Imani Duhe was sixth in 13.91 and Maria Jankowski was eighth in 14.63.
Other top finishes were Alyssa Kuss, who was sixth in the 400 in 1:05.61, Alex Chand, who was sixth in the 800 in 2:34.91, Brielle Petit, who was seventh in the hammer throw at 120-7, and Mikaela Hintz, who was eighth in the 200 in 27.84 seconds.
The Lawrence women finished seventh with 56 points.
Pacing the men was rookie Sam Marrese-Wheeler as he raced to second in the 10,000 meters in 35:38.26. Teammate Ben Schaefer was fourth in the event in 36:28.50.
The Vikings had three in the top five in the steeplechase as Billy Daniels led the way by taking third in 10:44.70. Alec Timpe was fourth in 10:48.40 and Aaron Arthur was fifth in 11:00.40.
Lawrence had two runners place in the 100 meters as Ethan Simmons grabbed third in 11.64 seconds and Sheldon Garmon was eighth in 11.92.
Cullen Allard grabbed a third place in the 800 in 2:03.82, and Cameron Wicks placed eighth in the 200 in 24.09 seconds.
The Lawrence men finished eighth with 48 points.
