DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field teams claimed a pair of first-place finishes Thursday at the St. Norbert Mid-Week at Schneider Stadium.
Leah Hawksford grabbed first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and the women's 4x400 relay team also brought home a first place.
Natalie LaMonto grabbed a second-place finish in the 800 in 2:37.82, and the Vikings claimed a host of thirds. Hoeft took third in the triple jump with a leap of 30 feet, 6.5 inches, and Brielle Petit was third in the hammer throw with a toss of 119-2.
Nora Robinson was third in the 100 meters in 13.32 seconds, and Sogin was third in the 400 hurdles in 1:13.62.
On the men's side, Cullen Allard and both relays led the way with second-place finishes.
Allard was second in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 10:33.98. The 4x100 relay team of Wasonu Allen, Sheldon Garmon, Cameron Wicks and Ethan Simmons was second in 46.88 seconds, and the 4x400 team of Simmons, Allard, Wicks and Julian Garcia was second in 3:51.14.
Simmons also grabbed third in the 400 in 53.19 seconds.
