RIPON, Wis. -- Lawrence University men's track standout Joe Kortenhof won the 5,000 meters Saturday at the Dick Hendricks Invitational and ran one of the nation's top times in the process.
Kortenhof ran to victory in 14:51.76, which ranks 18th in all of NCAA Division III. Kortenhof cruised to the victory at the Willmore Center as he won by nearly 90 seconds.
Will Nichols placed in two events as he took second in the 200 meters and fifth in the 60 meters. Nichols posted a time of 23.46 in the 200 and was edged at the tape by Carroll University's Aaron Kurth, who won in 23.27. Nichols ran a time of 7.22 seconds in the 60.
Mik Patel grabbed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:01.58. Tyler Antoine placed sixth for the Vikings in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.99 seconds.
