GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team rallied from two sets down Saturday to top Knox College 3-2 in a Midwest Conference match at Memorial Gymnasium.

Lawrence (8-12, 3-1 MWC) defeated the Prairie Fire 24-26, 16-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-12.

Arianna Cohen hammered out 19 kills to pace Lawrence, and Arianna Neumeyer and Rachael Wuensch added 11 kills apiece.

Sydney Nelson led Lawrence with 29 assists, and Lauren Ray added 18. Cyra Bammer picked up 31 digs for the Vikings, and Neumeyer added 14. Addisyn Gerber led Lawrence with four blocks, and Colleen Nowlan and Cohen picked up three apiece.

After the Vikings dropped the first two sets, Lawrence won sets three and four to tie the match. 

Lawrence trailed 8-5 in the fifth set before the Vikings rallied. Two kills from Cohen helped the Vikings tie the fifth set at 9-9, and two more Cohen kills put the Vikings up 11-10.

After a service error tied the score at 11-11, Cohen hammered out another kill to put the Vikings back on top. A Knox attack error gave Lawrence a 13-11 lead. After a Knox kill, Lawrence closed out the match with kills from Emily Hoeft and Neumeyer to win the match.

Rose Griffin led Knox (9-13, 0-5) with 24 kills.
