APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University volleyball star Arianna Neumeyer passed a major milestone and was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week.
Neumeyer (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) passed 1,000 kills and became just the third player in Lawrence history to post 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. Neumeyer led Lawrence to a 2-0 record on the week against Midwest Conference opponents.
On the week, Neumeyer had 36 kills, an average of 4.5 per set, and hit .319. She also picked up three aces, 28 digs and three blocks.
In a 3-0 win over Knox, she collected 16 kills, passing 1,000 in the process, and hit .368. She also collected three aces and 11 digs. In a 3-2 win over Monmouth in which the Vikings rallied from a 2-0 deficit, Neumeyer had 20 kills and hit .283. She also picked up 17 digs and a pair of blocks.
Neumeyer now has 1,029 kills and 1,283 digs for her career. This is Neumeyer's third MWC Performer of the Week honor. She was chosen as the Offensive Performer of the Week in 2016 and earned Defensive Performer of the Week honors in 2015.
Lawrence returns to action on Friday when the Vikings host Lake Forest College.
