Ian Thomas shattered his own Lawrence record in the javelin and posted one of the top throws in the nation. The junior from Kirtland, N.M., won the javelin with a throw of 188 feet, 9 inches, at the Wisconsin Private College Championships at Carroll to break his old record of 178-1. Thomas has the longest throw in the conference by 47 feet and ranks 12th in all of NCAA Division III.
